Verlys France Opalescent Powder or Candy Dish w Flower Bouquet

Up for auction is a vintage presentation that is signed on both pieces:  Verlys France. From 1933, Verlys focused on high quality press-moulded glass. They produced clear, frosted, opalescent and colored items with designs typical of Lalique-style glass of the 1930s. Very reminiscent of this piece.

• Beautiful lid with dramatic 3 D flower bouquet

• Condition of this item is fair to good considering its age.

  • There are two items / flaws that I want to bring to your attention:

    • On the lid, near a flower there is a small chip or damage, roughly 3/8 inches in length.  Difficult to see, but you can feel it

    • On the base, on the inside, you can feel where there was some repair made- difficult to photo, and would not normally be seen with the lid on, but it is about 2.25 inches long and it is smooth, but you can tell it must have been polished down (see last 2 photos was difficult to photo),

• Lid has the signature on the edge of the bottom top of the lid

• Base has the signature on the center of the base

• Would make a beautiful powder dish on mi-lady’s dresser or perhaps a trinket box

• Despite the damage, still a lovely piece 

• Dimensions are:  6.5   inches round and about 1.75 inches tall
