There is a waterproof cover over the top of the tent to give it extra
protection from the elements. The tent folds out neatly using a series
of aluminium tubular loops. One of the loops mounts in place to form an
entrance cover so you can go in and out but still be under cover. The
mattress is a 3 inch thick, high density foam with a cotton cover
(washable). There are 3 windows on the other sides of the tent. The
windows also have an insect screen zipped in which can also be fully
opened or not. The windows are firmly propped open with stainless steel
rods. The base of the tent is stainless steel. All the material is
double stitched and the zips are wide heavy duty. The PVC outer cover is
fastened in place with thick Velcro and 2 securing straps. vehicles with roof rails, roof bars or roof racks. it is very versatile.
One man operation allows it to fold out in seconds to full height. When
you have it packed up, it is covered by a UPVC, heavy duty waterproof
cover which is sealed/zipped all around. Once you undo the zip and
remove the cover, the tent can then be unfolded using the ladder which
acts as a handle or lever. Then, using the aluminium tube bracket, you
will prop up the entrance roof which adds extra room to the floor space.
Once you have this set up, you can prop the windows open using the
metal rods. The final touch is to make sure you rod the tent down to the
earth using the guide ropes and strap which are already fixed on the
tent. Now stand back and admire! Or maybe climb inside and go to sleep.
Fixing time from pulling up to sleeping would be about 20 minutes. This is a brilliant addition to your vehicle, very well wrapped and boxed for a safe delivery.
