HYPERION PRESS The Tarzan Chronicles (1999)
First Edition Signed Book
Hardcover (without dust jacket as published), 192 pages, 13.5" x 10.25"
The story of the making of Disney's animated feature film of Edgar Rice Burroughs' great tales of Tarzan is detailed in this handsome art book, with a foreword by Phil Collins. The book is lavishly illustrated throughout in full-color and black-and-white and includes fold-out pages and special illustrations that reveal how the film was developed and eventually brought to the screen by Walt Disney Feature Animation.
This copy is signed on the first page by co-directors Kevin Lima and Chris Buck, and author Howard Green. The book was published without a dust jacket to be in theme with the journal kept by Jane Porter in the film. The titles in this series, which began with The Art of The Lion King in 1994, provide the reader with a marvelous presentation of Disney animation art and insightful account of the filmmaking process, including the technical advances made throughout the 1990s and beyond. C.O.A. is included.
