The coin offered for sale is dated 1797. Obv: The coin almost smooth with initials T H carefully pecked out with borders, crescents and lines pecked above and below. Rev: coin almost smooth with standing figure smoking a 'churchwarden' tobacco pipe carefully pecked out and faint 1816 within a border and faint date. He has a large beer jug to the rear with beer mug in front. 24.70 grams. Coin poor, engraving clear. Very Rare. See Field and Millett, Convict Love Tokens, p.21, for similar depiction.All offers welcome. Priced to sell as these coins often sell for much more, a great top ten coin for resell or as an investment.
