One bar is screwed to the frame or panel pointing down and the other bar, pointing up, to the wall. Works with many wood and polymer mouldings. Shorter lengths also good for hanging hi-fi speakers on the wall.
Often used by trade installers and display contractors. Sometimes just one strip can be used when it engages with the channel in an aluminium frame.
Use screws up to 4.5mm / No.6 or No.8 dia and length to suit wall material to fix Z Bar cleat strips to the wall using plugs to suit. Use small pan-head screws to fix the Z bar cleat strips to the back of the frame moulding. Use 4.5mm / No.6 dia of a length to suit the moulding size.
The fact that the holes are oval, 4.5 dia x 9.1mm, is very important as they allow for levelling the bars. Those oval holes are spaced approx. 100mm/ 4” apart. Load capacity is around 3kg per screw.
Each strip is 31mm tall and when installed and over-lapped, a pair is approx. 48mm tall. The frame sits 6mm away from the wall.
To hang a larger item you can use several Z Bar strips in a row to help spread the load.
Note:- No Screws or Rawplugs are supplied with 1000mm Z Bar
