We present a super quality hand-coloured/part embellished etching, a  view of a historic building in the old port city of Bristol, The Old Mint, by the British artist and engraver Edward W Sharland (1884 – 1967).  The work is margin signed by the artist lower right and ascribed by the artist lower left with a more precise address of the property.  Based in Bristol, south-western England, Sharland was a prolific etcher of mostly street and architectural scenes, especially churches and cathedrals, landmarks around Britain. Sharland was self-taught, yet the appeal of his works created an industry and very much in demand.  Edward Sharland exhibited at the Royal Academy in London and at the Royal West of England Academy multiple times.  Many examples of Sharland’ s work can be seen on artprice.com, arcadia.com, findartinfo.com, askart.com besides several local auction sites.  In the public collection, examples can be seen on ArtUK.   Presented in excellent condition in its original frame, this picture will look fabulous displayed
