Price Inc VAT: 14.99 Description Ophiopogon planiscapus , ‘Mondo Grass', is a small, ground cover evergreen grass-like perennial in the lily family and is sometimes referred to as ‘Lilyturf'. It grows slowly from short rhizomes, and bears tufts of leaves, from which flowers emerge in racemes held on short stems above the leaves. This plant is commonly used in rock gardens or raised beds as an ornamental plant; owing to its dwarf-like qualities it can be lost in borders, but makes an ideal edging plant. Ophiopogon planiscapus is native to Korea and Japan, where it grows on open and forested slopes. It has no particular insect or disease problems, and is incredibly adaptable to sun or shade, in a wide variety of soils.     Delivery cost

    £6.00 maximum postage on all items in our shop regardless of quantity or variety to UK destinations.

    For example;
    1 Plant = £4.00 postage
    5 Plants = £6.00 postage
    20 Plants = £6.00 postage

    Postage to EU is £9 per item with additional chargers per item

    Important!
    Because plants are living things, we like to dispatch them so that they will arrive with you as quickly as possible to ensure you receive the best possible quality.  For this reason we do not want your plants to be held up in a warehouse over weekends, therefore all orders are dispatched Monday through to Thursday morning.
    For orders placed from Wednesday PM through to Sunday evening are dispatched on the following Monday/Tuesday.
    Orders placed Monday - Wednesday PM will usually be dispatched the same or following day.
    Orders placed from Thursday PM onwards may not be dispatched until the following Monday/Tuesday.
    In most cases orders are dispatched quickly after receipt of order using a next day service, but you should allow up to 7 days for delivery although in most cases it will be much sooner.  Orders sent to the EU via Airmail may take up to 10 days to arrive after dispatch.

    Why Packaging is important
    We have spent a lot of time researching the best packaging in which to send your order, as we want you to be delighted with your plants when they arrive.

    Our final choice of blister packs within cardboard boxes was made for a number of reasons. Firstly, they create a micro-climate for the plants, which helps to prevent them drying out in transit. The packs enclose each plant individually, which means that you don't open a box filled with compost! Finally, the plastic is environmentally friendly, being both recycled and recyclable!

    Unfortunately these benefits do mean that the packaging is a little more expensive than some other types, but we hope that you feel that the extra cost is worth your plants arriving in good condition. The cost of packaging is included in the shipping charges stated, if applicable.
