Vintage Moorcroft Hibiscus Vase - 10½" (27cm) high
A fine piece of English pottery by the remarkable Moorcroft family who have produced stunning pieces for three generations and continue even today.
The Coral Hibiscus design was first produced in 1968 by Walter Moorcroft while on a trade mission to the USA. It is a very attractive decorative piece with coral pink hibiscus flowers on a brushed olive green background and original crackled finish.
It has looked superb on display in my lounge and given much pleasure.
The piece is signed, stamped and with the original (rarely found) Queen Mary royal warrant paper seal on base. The exact manufacture date is not known but the right to apply that warrant expired in 1978.
