A very good and very rare antique 18” dial Fusee Wall clock in an oak case. Please note the bottle of wine is not included in the sale it is just to show massive proportions of this lock. The clock dates to circa 1880.
The dial is faded but was one used as an Advertising clock as the bottom half reads ‘SHOES’ but I can’t quite make out the top half.
The movement is very good being a chain fusee .
The clock is complete with pendulum but no winding key
DIMENSIONS: The approximate maximum dimensions are : Diameter across case 23 1/4 inches / 59 cm , diameter across dial 18 inches / 46 cm, Depth 7 inches / 18 cm
CONDITION: The case is in good condition but there is no side door and just has knocks / marks commensurate with age. The glass is scratched as can be seen in the photographs. The dial has wear and fading. The movement is chain fusee and complete with its pendulum but there is no winding key and is untested so being so for spares / repair. Please study photographs which are an integral part of the description as you will receive what is photographed.
