This is a head I was slowly building up to use on a Cosworth naturally aspirated carb conversion, but have now had a change of plans with the car.
The Head has been ported for naturally aspirated use as detailed in the excellent Des Hammill book.
It has had a set of brand new bronze exhaust guides fitted, and a full set of brand new standard valves.
The valves have been carefully lapped to the seats.
There are a set of new valve guide seals installed, and the spring base plates have been replaced by .010 thou plate shims to safely allow more lift as per the Hammill book.
The head is unfortunately without it's original cam caps, but there are two undersized end caps and three undersized intermediate caps fitted which will require boring to finished size. So you would have the option of sourcing some more undersized intermediate caps and boring them all, or sourcing a complete set of finished size caps.
The head is down to 137.74mm on width, so would probably have to be used in conjunction with a decompression plate if it was to be used in a turbo application.
The head does not include springs, I was planning on fitting a dual spring setup.
I will also include the pack of 32 new valve collets.
The new valves are worth £400 alone.
