This stunning collector plate was crafted by John and William Ridgway during the early 19th century in Staffordshire, United Kingdom.
A fine quality stone china gadroon edged dessert plate printed in dark cobalt blue and outlined in yellow ochre with scrolling leaves, peonies and other flowers hand enamelled in terracotta and light blue.
Great workmanship and in good condition. There is some minor chipping and wear in the edge of the plate (shown in photos) and a little age related wear in places to the gilt line on the inner edge, though nothing to detract from the display value of this lovely piece.
Printed cartouche with 'Stone China, J&WR and painted pattern number 1200. Diameter 22cm (8.6in).
