DENON AVR-3805 7.1 Channel AV Surround Receiver with Remote, Omnidirectional Mic

Still to date a championing effort from  Denon as for HI-FI sound - common knowledge in the midst of who care for the sound reproduction world .

Then we have not mentioned the insane driving power she is able to produce.

Only 2 channel driven:

2x140 W(8 Ohm) 2 x 210W (4 Ohm), 2 x 240W (2 Ohm) !!!

Yes, it CAN drive 2 ohm speakers like a breeze!

I have been the 2nd happy owner of this beast. Naturally, after purchase she went thrrough the mandatory maintenance service and ever since has

been in special care, so everything works as they should.

Numbers cannot tell you what a gem DENON built.

In pure direct mode, she sounds like the flagships of the 80s' end, whilst in CD direct mode, which activates a few ICs designed to counteract the issues raised by sound reproduction coming from CD source, she sound mellow yet accurate enough to take your breath away with its musicality.

Even better, unofficially she support bi-amping, oh boy... (Just search for that. There are two descriptions available: the one for 3803 is easier but also works. No need to tune, just plug them together as written.)

(Honestly, I apparently has gone mad that I am planning to PART WAYS WITH THIS WONDER.)

Fully Discrete, Equal Power Seven Amplifier Channels, 120 Watts Each

The AVR-3805 features an equal power 7-channel amplifier section, with

identical amplifier design featuring high current discrete output devices on all 7

channels. Each of the 7 amplifier channels is rated at 120 watts, into 8 ohms,

from 20 Hz - 20 kHz with no more than 0.05% THD .

• Hefty Power Transformer for Stable Supply of Power [True, she is 16.5 kg baby!!!]

A huge power transformer has been connected in the power section where it

is combined with a rectifier diode and an oversized block capacitor to ensure

a large, stable supply of electrical current. Accordingly, this design allows the

AVR-3805 to achieve high output power of 120 W for each of the 7 channels.

• Block Capacitor

A large-capacity block capacitor was developed for the AVR-3805 to ensure

a rock stable supply of power.
