This picture shows the moment when the famous "Cornish Riviera" train hauled by "King Richard III" emerges from one of the many tunnels on the stretch of line between Dawlish and Teignmouth.
This express route was inaugurated on 1 July 1904 when the non-stop journey of 245.7 miles from Paddington to Plymouth took a mere four hours, thereby setting the world record for the longest daily non-stop run.Lovely picture framed in an A4 (30 x 21 cm. or 11.7 x 8.3 inch) size frame.
