The manual is in apparently unused condition, but does have a few marks on the due to storage. The only reason I have listed it as used is that I bought it as part of a job lot along with some manuals I needed not directly from Thatchams.
The manual is in loose leaf form with hole for inclusion in a binder.
This is a genuine Motor Industry Repair Research Center (Thatcham) Guide to body repairs. It is produced for professional body repairs by the insurance industry and not available for general sale . There are a number of guides for different models that are issued as new models come out - some of which I have listed /will be listing on Ebay.
This covers the Datsun Stanza 1982.
A total of 19 pages
It contains exploded diagrams of body panel assemblies and details of removal and reassembly (including factory weld positions and recommended repair joint weld positions). Where part panels are to be fitted it provides details of approved cut positions.
Technical data includes body alignment measurements, paint codes, steering alignment, etc and repair time schedules (useful for costing the repair even if you are not doing it yourself).
It covers (where fitted):
Introduction
Paint colours and codes
Jacking, lifting and towing
Corrosion protection
Service conditions of panels (inc descripion and parts illustration)
Repair method descriptions and diagrams specific to the model that is the subject on the manual.
Bolt on panels - (Bumpers, Wings, Bootlid, Tailgate, etc)
Welded panels Front (e.g. Chassis legs, Slam panels, Valances, Reinforcements, closing panels, wings (if welded), etc)
Welded panels Side ( e.g. A posts, B posts, C posts, Sills, suspension turrets, rear wings, inner wings, etc)
Welded panels rear (e.g. boot floor, rear reinforcing panels, Chassis legs, wheel arch sections, etc)
(NOTE: the examples I have listed above of the types of panels covered in each section is far from compehensive, a selection is given for ilustrative purposes. With some models certain panels I have listed will not be covered as they are not used in the constrction of the car e.g. boot lid on hatchbacks)
