Welch Steeple Clock I probably bought this clock about 4 years ago as a project on the clock course that I attend. I took the mechanism out, cleaned it, bushed it where necessary, cleaned the pallets and oiled it. The wood of the case seems in very good condition for its age. The face, however, could do with attention. The instruction label on the back of the case (see Photo) is a little damaged but one can still read most of it.Unfortunately I had the clock in the boot of the car and the dog jumped over the back and put her foot through the glass. I had to buy a new glass, which I think looks better than the original, and have had it fitted. The clock seems to go very well. The main problem is that the striking sounds very tired and needs some attention. It only strikes on the hour.I love EN Welch Clocks and have an Ogee which keeps excellent time. I can remember my grandfather winding it up every night, almost 70 years ago.Unfortunately I am having too let this one go as I am having to downsize, so this clock must go.It is 19.5" tall, 9.75" wide and 4" deep and comes with a key.I would prefer the clock to be collected as one can't always guarantee that the clock will arrive in running condition.
