I am offering for sale my antique
early 19th century SPODE
blue white pattern stand.
From the famous Spode factory, this large circular stand would have been for a very large tureen. Marked with both printed and impressed marks, the marks indicate a date after 1805 and possibly around 1820. Sometimes there are year date codes, but this have not been found.
To find this pattern in a blue white transfer palette is somewhat unusual, being flowers in a sculptural vase. A little like an earlier DERBY factory Imari pattern. This is usually identified as the Spode "Filigree" pattern.
The stand measures 31 cm in diameter and is of course quite heavy.
In good condition aside from a small loss under the rim as shown.
I would please ask that you fully satisfy yourself that the description of the item, and the condition, fully meets your expectation before bidding. I try to be as concise as I can within the description, but this is my personal view, and you may have a differing perspective or requirements. I try and list any obvious defect I find, but not wear and tear consistent with it's age and usage, so please study the images. Therefore please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further information or require a specific image, as my aim is to leave you completely pleased with your new purchase. Thank you
