Original 1961 Gibson “No Wire” ABR-1 bridge in Nickel finish. Excellent vintage condition. This bridge was removed from a 1961 ES-330 guitar with factory Bigsby tailpiece.
This bridge is the “shaved” or “low profile” ABR-1 model that Gibson used on guitars equipped with vibrato units (Bigsby, “sideways” vibrola, lyre vibrola) and also guitars with shallow neck set angles. This bridge is 100% original, shaved by Gibson at the factory in Kalamazoo, MI.
Bridge is in excellent cosmetic condition. The Nickel plating has a really nice aged patina. The finish is in good condition, no flaking or peeling. Correct “GIBSON ABR-1” and foundry stamp markings on the bottom. Saddles are in great shape, having only been notched once. This bridge is fully functional and ready to use. It is not bent, “sagging”, cracked, modified, or repaired in any way.
This bridge is a vintage correct part for Les Paul Standard Burst, SG/Les Paul Standard, SG Standard, ES-335, ES-330, ES-175, and other model guitars manufactured from 1958 - 1963.
The original Bigsby B-7 Vibrato tailpiece from the same 1961 ES-330 guitar is also currently listed for sale, so take a look at my other items if you need a vintage Bigsby.
