1779 ISLE OF/WIGHT p/m Letter wrapper from the MAN OF WAR "TERRIBLE" at Cowes.
1779 Letter wrapper (The inside reused with a legal manuscript draft of a document probably around 1821) hence the crossing out of the address panel, the original letter addressed to Benjamin Adams, Merchant of Lime st in London, the filing endorsement reads " John Cambel Esq, Captain Ayres of the Terrible, Cowes 6 March 1779", with faint Two line ISLE OF / WIGHT postmark which seems to measure approx 36mm x 16 mm, and London Bishop mark date stamp for 8/MR
