How To Grow
Prairie Mallow enjoys a moist, fertile, humus rich, well drained soil. It particularly thrives in light, sandy soils with a neutral to acid pH but tolerates most soil conditions, except for soils that are prone to waterlogging. Choose a position in full sun.

Feed and water Sidalcea regularly until fully established. Cut stems back hard after flowering. Prairie Mallow will appreciate a protective mulch of straw during particularly cold, wet periods. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps in autumn or spring to maintain their vigour.
